"Bioregionalism is an excellent concept, given the irrational land use systems and land divisions developed by the present power structures.”

Partners in the Process
People power and social movements can influence change. History has proven this. We see examples of this all around us in the Northern Rivers area of NSW. Enova Energy is creating Australia’s first community owned renewable energy retail and installation business. COREM, a community group working towards running Mullumbimby on 100% renewable energy, has secured funding to plan its first community-owned renewable project in collaboration with Byron Shire Council.
We believe in the power of the collective and are proud to partner with stalwart organisations such as the following.
Bioregional is an international environmental organisation with a vision of a world where people enjoy healthy, happy lives with a fair share of the earth’s resources, while leaving space for wildlife and wilderness. They are working to create thriving regional economies where we meet more of our needs from local, renewable and waste resources.
Bioregional Australia works with various partners to create better places for people to live, work and do business and incubates hands on climate change solutions using their One Planet Living framework. One Planet Living is a structure built around 10 principles that inform truly holistic action.
Bioregional has 20 years of experience internationally delivering ambitious but practical products and services.
The Global Ecovillage Network is a global association of people and ecovillages dedicated to living sustainable lives by managing and restoring the land with the intention of adding more to the environment than is taken. Members of the network share ideas, information and technologies as well as exchanging cultural and educational experiences.
GEN’s vision is a world of empowered citizens and communities who design and implement their own pathways to a sustainable future, while building bridges of hope and international solidarity along the way. Global Ecovillage Network Australia is the Australian arm of this worldwide movement.
